Lots to share…
My seven year old’s school has been closed for a week due to the Swine flu. Wow, what was news now hits close to home. Initially I panicked but now I am okay. He is just everything to me and as a parent (I know all of you feel the same way!) we just want to protect our children.
Last week was Teacher Appreciation week. My parents were incredible to me. They gave me a real tree yet turned it into a money tree. I won’t say how much was on it but I will say there were several one hundred dollars bills, twenties and tens. How do you say thank you for that? I should say thank you to them for sharing their children with me whom I love so much! This year has been unbelievable.
I just completed a six hour lighting course at SMU. I loved it and learned so much. I cannot wait to share my new lighting skills.
I will be finishing the last five appointments I have and then will be on vacation until June 1st. It is time to relax. Working two jobs can be exhausting….I just don’t know what I want to be when I grow up!
American Idol is on and I have to see who gets voted off! Don’t let it be my new boyfriend~ Adam!
Have a great week and stay dry! Shirley
Lots of people!
This was a large group! We had alot of fun and I we got some great captures. I am a little envious though ~ I am always on the wrong side of the camera! I would love to have my parents, siblings and their children altogether for a photo shoot. This inspires me!
Beautiful images; beautiful people!

Off to Pepperdine!
This young man has accomplished alot! His highschool tennis team won state and now he is going to college in California where he will major in Pre Med. Wow! On top of all of this, he is nice too! Thank you and best of luck!

Brothers….

One is graduating and mom and dad wanted to capture the moment before he leaves. It was hard to believe they were brothers; they came across more like very good friends. Mom and dad have obviously done a great job!
Another senior…
It is hard to believe this young man will be graduating highschool next month. I met him when he was in the first grade! Time flies too quickly! He was cute in first grade and he is even cuter now. Good luck in your future plans;

”oh the places you will go!”
What a life!
I am not sure if it is good or bad! I have ten unedited jobs on my memory sticks…I am doing my best to edit within the two week time frame I gave everyone. Three jobs will be released this weekend. I am actually thrilled and loving it ( a little tired!) but who isn’t in this life! I have shoots all next week…one in Fort Worth at the gardens, a family shoot, and seniors. Thank you!!!!
For those who do not know I teach preK/kinder and that is so much fun too! In my classroom I have caterpillars waiting to become butterflies and 18 eggs in a chick incubator. Of course I will post pictures when the butterflies emerge and the chicks hatch. It is hard to believe we are coming to the end of the school year…I get choked up thinking about the kids as they are such a big part of my life. I have been blessed to know them.
Sneak preview of job number one. The entirety will be released by the end of the day. (and I am shooting a prom tonight!)
Have a great weekend!!

Cute family
These children have eyelashes I can only dream about. They are beautiful children. Thank you for allowing me opportunity to photograph your family!

Wow, thank you…
This email came to me from New Mexico. Thank you Gary…I am very flattered.
“I truly love your work. And honestly I have NEVER seen anyone even come close to your work. It is truly amazing! Really! “
Truthfully, I have seen many people who surpass my work. However I am working hard to catch up!! A workshop in Austin and an upcoming workshop in Salt Lake City all geared to help me exceed your expectations. I was never satisfied being a mom with a camera. That is why I work so hard to give you the quality you deserve from a professional photographer.
Currently I am booked through April but I do have available appts. in May. Come see me! Shirley
